Santa Fun Run Brings Festive Cheer and Raises £650 for Katharine House Hospice

Bloxham CE Primary School embraced the festive spirit in the final week of term by hosting a spectacular Santa Fun Run. Pupils and staff  donned Santa hats, reindeer antlers, and jingle bells as they took to the school grounds for an energetic and heart-warming event. Mr Sorrell, our PE Lead, rose to the occasion by donning a full Santa suit with a fluffy white beard, and you could even spot a running banana!

The fun run was held in aid of Katharine House Hospice, a local charity close to the hearts of many in the community. Thanks to the generosity of families, friends, and supporters, the event raised an impressive £650, which will help the hospice continue its vital work providing care and support to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

“It was wonderful to see our school community come together for such a worthy cause,” said our Headteacher Mrs Marshall. “The children showed amazing enthusiasm, not just in running, but also in raising funds for Katharine House Hospice. Events like this highlight the importance of kindness, community, and giving back—values we hold dear at Bloxham CE Primary.”

The school field was transformed into a sea of Santa hats, complete with cheerful music to keep everyone’s spirits high. Each participant completed as many laps as they could, with some of the younger children impressively managing to outrun their older peers!

Congratulations to everyone who participated and contributed to this fantastic achievement!
