This year Bloxham Primary School celebrated International Women's Day (Friday 8 March) through the power of women’s football, by inviting former pupil and now Coach Emily to share her football journey with our school.

The children’s response was amazing, seeing photographs of her in her Bloxham school uniform, then recognising their own local football team emblem of Bloxham FC, to eventually seeing the Arsenal and England badges.

The questions from the children were very thoughtful, from "Who inspired you?" to "What tips do you have?" and "How many trophies have you won?" 

Some pupils also spent time with Emily on the field, celebrating women’s football with various skills/games.
